Recognized as a Grandmaster by the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation in 2015, Imamura, born into a Japanese family, found his true calling in the Ving Tsun System after dedicating almost a decade to Japanese martial arts. With an academic background that includes studies at the University of São Paulo Law School and Santo André School of Physical Education, Imamura stood out by introducing the discipline of "Martial Arts" into university physical education in Brazil. His involvement with Ving Tsun began with Grandmaster Li Hon Kay, and following Li's recommendation in 1987, Imamura traveled to Hong Kong to perfect his skills, earning recognition as a qualified master by the Yip Man Martial Art Athletic Association. His meeting with Patriarch Moy Yat in New York led Imamura to join the Moy Yat Family, being authorized to establish the Moy Yat Sang Family in South America. Over the years, he has received titles such as Senior Master and Senior Instructor, contributing to the preservation and recognition of the Ving Tsun System. He founded his kung fu family in 1988 and has since gained hundreds of disciples and followers in different countries.
